17.1    Use of Council Urgent Action Procedure

 

Council is asked to note the following decision taken by the Leader of the Council (4th February 2015), under the Council Urgent Action Procedure (in accordance with section 30 of the Council Procedure Rules):

 

Decision:

 

To appoint Councillor Levy as Deputy Member on the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority (LVRPA) for a term of office to run until the Annual Council Meeting in May 2018.

 

Reason for Urgency:

 

The Council’s nominated representative on LVPRA had advised they would be unable to attend the LVRPA meeting on 5th February 2015, which was due to consider an item relating to its Trust status.  In order to ensure the Council was formally represented at this, and any future meetings, a Deputy Member was appointed.  Whilst this appointment would normally have been listed for approval on the next available Council agenda, it wasn’t possible to do so on this occasion given the timing of the LVRPA meeting.

16.2Appointment of Council representatives to Joint Health Overview & Scrutiny Committee for North Central London Sector

 

To confirm the appointment of the Chair (Councillor Cazimoglu) & Vice-Chair (Councillor Pearce) of the Health & Wellbeing Scrutiny Panel as the Council’s two representatives on the Joint Health Overview & Scrutiny Committee (JHOSC)  for 2011/12.  The JHOSC was set up in 2010/11 to engage with the NHS on a sector wide basis regarding the North Central London Service and Organisation Review and comprises of five boroughs.

 

The terms of reference for the JHOSC have been agreed by each of the constituent Councils and are attached for information.

 

The nomination of Councillors Cazimoglu and Pearce were endorsed and recommended to Council by the Health & Wellbeing Scrutiny Panel at its meeting on 25 May 2011.
