It was noted that Vivien Giladi had stepped down from the Board. She had been a Voluntary Sector representative and the Chair wished to record thanks for all her work over the years.

The Chair raised that she understood there had been a removal of the Mental Health Services ‘Place of Safety’ at Chase Farm Hospital site and relocation of the facility to Highgate which had led to challenges for officers, Police, and patients. For the next meeting, the Chair requested an item on the agenda in relation to seeking reinstating of that service.

Councillor Nesil Caliskan, Chair, welcomed everyone to the virtual meeting, noting that it had been made accessible to the public and was being recorded.

On behalf of the Board, thanks were recorded to the organisations and individuals who had been working so hard on the front line in the borough during the Covid-19 pandemic, and tribute paid to the hundreds of Enfield residents who had tragically lost their lives, and those continuing to grieve their loved ones.

3.    The Vice Chair recorded congratulations with some sadness that Ray James would be leaving Enfield to become NHS England’s national learning disability director. Councillor Cazimoglu echoed that Enfield Council were proud and wished him all the best on his secondment.

4.    Coasters and pens had been distributed to attendees to mark World Mental Health Day, which deserved recognition.

5.    Enfield CCG would be welcoming John Wardell as the new Chief Operating Officer from December. Deborah McBeal was deputising until he was in post.
