the tenant at Oakwood Café.
We are pleased to hear that the current tenant has been so highly regarded and has enhanced the community of the park.
The current tenant’s lease is now due to expire and Enfield Council has the policy that all tenders must be fairly advertised to give everyone the opportunity to bid. The current tenant is not excluded from the process and this method also ensures that Council tests the current market to obtain a suitable rent particularly as this is a public service contract.
Additionally, I would like to hope that if a new tenant is
awarded the lease, that they will be as successful as the existing
tenant and will consider the factors within your letter to help
keep the community spirit and to encourage the regular users in
order to maintain a healthy business - if someone new is appointed,
I will forward them your concerns.
