Thank you for submitting your petition for a Controlled Parking
Zone in Walton Street. Our traffic team, having analysed the
details, is satisfied that this demonstrates clear majority support
for a parking scheme in your road.
We already have a significant list of parking schemes to take
forward in the current financial year, 2018/19, relative to
identified funding. These are typically streets from where
petitions were received in the previous year. Accordingly it is
most likely that we will not be able to proceed with our own
consultation for Walton Street until next year; i.e. until after
March 2019. However, we will seek to advance schemes more quickly
where others drop out of any surplus funding is
identified.
