Petition for Adequate Parking for Residents of the New Estate in Ponders End

We the undersigned petition the Council to We, the undersigned residents of the new estate in Ponders End, would like to raise our concerns about the lack of adequate parking provisions for those of us who have moved into the newly built blocks. While we appreciate the development efforts, particularly the green spaces and parks that have been established, the current situation regarding parking is creating significant challenges for residents, especially compared to the adequate parking we had at our previous homes. Key Issues: Limited Parking Spaces: Despite the construction of green spaces/ parks inside the communal area in the newly built blocks, the number of parking spaces available to residents has drastically decreased. This shortage is causing many of us to receive fines and tickets simply because there is no available space to park our vehicles. This is particularly concerning for larger households with multiple cars, as well as for residents who rely on their cars for work and cannot always use public transp

Our Requests:

We urge the council to revisit the parking arrangements for the estate and provide more parking spaces for residents, disabled, electric and regular cars.

We request that additional consideration be given to residents who have multiple cars, given the size of their households.

We request that the permit system be reviewed, particularly the associated costs, as many of us are being asked to pay for parking where spaces are not guaranteed.

We believe these changes are necessary to improve the quality of life for residents and to ensure fairness and consideration for those of us who rely on personal vehicles.
