Welcome to my Web Site

I have lived in the Borough since the age of four. First in Edmonton by the old Green and when that was re-developed in the Enfield Town area at various addresses.

I attended St Edmunds School in Bounces Road before going to St Ignatius College at Stamford Hill and then to Turkey Street.

I joined what was then the Post Office in 1968 before it became British Telecom. I left BT in 2000 taking the retirement package.

I joined the Labour Party in 1974, the CWU in 1968 ( LNCI Branch) and the Co-op Party in 1979.

As a Councillor I have represented Enfield lock, Ponders End and now Southbury Ward.

I am a firm believer that Enfield's strength is the people that live within its boundaries and too often their voice is not heard by those elected or those that work for those organisations supposed to work for the people of Enfield.

My interests outside the Council are Cricket, Rugby, travelling  and music. I try as best I can to see as much of these as possible during the year.

Current Activities

At present I am the Labour lead for Environment. This involves a fair amount of meetings, informal as well as formal and also gives me the chance to meet with local groups across Enfield.

I hold regular surgeries in Southbury Ward listening to residents.

Local Issues

I do a fair amount of work with the Police and attend the CAPE meetings every month.

My case work is predominantly housing and Environmental issues besides the personal cases you take up as a Councillor.

I am a firm believer that people should get more involved in the local community issues and when ever I can I will tell local residents what is going to happen to their locality before it has.

It is also important that people turn out and vote. To this aim I have put in as my links electoral registration forms. These can be downloaded and sent in to register to vote.
