COUNCILLORS' REPORT

Minutes:

Councillors’ report:

1.       Deep ham sewage, latest progress has been discussed with residents.

2.        London Waste, regarding smell around the area, Cllr Erbil has contacted London Waste due to complaints from residents.

3.        TFL bus depot at Pickett’s Lock Lane, the planning process is on-going and the councillors have contacted the planning officers and were told that the decision hasn’t been made yet.

4.        Resurfacing Lower Edmonton roads and the map of the area has been shown to residents, which are going to be done this year by environmental services. Montagu Road, Nash Road, St. Marys Road, Croyland Road, Cumberland Road, Chiswick Road are going to be resurfaced this year.

5.       Barrow Field Close estate, all the rear gardens and area where the refuse has been dumped, is going to be demolished and they are going to make a playground.

6.       LVRPA is going to close down Golf Club, Councillors are dealing with the matter to delay shutdown, Cllr Christina Hamilton is a member of the LVRPA and she will be enquiring about this matter.

7.       Salmon Brook Project has been explained to the local residents.

8.       Fly tipping has been increasing in Lower Edmonton in the last few months. Local residents have contacted councillors and they have inspected the area around Westminster Road, junction with Bounces Road.

9.       Anti-social behaviour is the highest crime type in Lower Edmonton,

10.   Young children play on the street and local residents are complaining, the solution of this problem is that local activists are proposing projects to attract young children into sport activities in local parks and youth centres. A resident put forward ideas to the local residents and they also agreed to it.

11.   Decent Homes Project by Enfield Homes has been explained to the local residents..

12.   Burglary, Robbery and MV theft in Lower Edmonton was shown on a map and given to the residents who attended.

13.   Neighbourhood Watch representative kindly gave leaflets to residents who attended and explained the presence of neighbourhood watch in the area, and that they could contact them if help is required.

MET POLICE REPORT

Minutes:

Crime mapping was given by PC Sylvia Jillani to the residents who attended. Recent Anti-social behaviour incident in Jubilee Crescent is being dealt with by local police.

 

3.

LOWER EDMONTON WARD NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH (NHW) REPORT

Minutes:

 

NHW leaflet was given to local residents. They work close with the police to reduce the crime in the area also informed residents they can become a member if NHW some of the local shop had NHW poster on Bounces Road.

 

4.

RESIDENTS PRIORITY FUND

Minutes:

Enfield Residents Priority Fund (ERPF) has also been explained and ideas were given by attendees about this fund

 

5.

LOWER EDMONTON COUNCILLOR TIMETABLE

Minutes:

Surgeries in Lower Edmonton are held by Councillors in the ward 4 times a month.

1.       First Thursday of every month at Bountagu, 229 Bounces Road, Edmonton, London, N9. 10:00am0-12:00pm

2.       Second Thursday of every month at the ARC, 500 Montagu Road, Edmonton, London, N9. 10:00am-12:00pm

3.       Last Thursday of every month at Eldon School children centre, 3:00pm-4:00pm.

4.       Every Saturday rota basis 10:30am-12:30pm, Edmonton Green library.
