The Safeguarding Adults Board Strategy
identifies ten priority areas for action. Priority 10 – To
promote the use of Information Technology for Safeguarding Adults,
includes an action to agree the use of the Regulation of
Investigatory Powers Act for safeguarding adults such as the
options for surveillance.
This policy sets out the scope and options for use of surveillance, both overt and covert in order to prevent and detect the abuse of ‘adults at risk’.
