As part of the Meridian Water scheme, Government approval has been given to the provision of the Meridian Angel Free School to accommodate the additional primary pupils expected from the new housing development. To allow a contingency ahead of the new school being completed and to meet the continuing requirement for additional pupil places in this part of the Borough, it will be necessary for a temporary classroom to be provided in 2014. The most practical solution will be to locate the classroom at St John's Church Hall site, Dysons Road which is close to the Meridian Water Development site and is also where the Authority is already using part of the building and two modular classrooms to accommodate pupils for St Matthew's Edmonton Annex. The proposal will involve procuring the new classroom from the supplier of the modular classrooms already on site with resources to be released by the Education Funding Agency.
