Approval is being sought to start a procurement process to re-tender the work opportunities service for adults with Mental Health needs. The Work Opportunities service is designed to support adults with profound Mental Health problems who find it difficult to access or maintain jobs. The service aims to offer work placements and volunteering to this vulnerable group within and outside the contracting organisation backed up by after-placement support, targeted work-based training, further education as well as individual and group employment therapies. Expected outcomes are to enhance the service users' recovery, self-confidence, social inclusion and independent living.
