KD 4555 - Commissioning Community Prevention and Early Intervention

In 2012, the Council agreed a framework for working with the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) this built on earlier commitments and signalled the intention to end core funding agreements and adopt a more service focused approach to agreeing activity through a competitive tendering process. This approach was consulted upon with the local VCS in January 2016. The Objective is to commission early Prevention and Early Intervention services meeting a set of priority needs from through the VCS


This report summarises the outcomes of the tendering process for Prevention and Early Intervention Services supported by the Voluntary and Community Sector and makes recommendations to award 6 contracts to those Consortiums who have met the conditions laid out in the specification and contract terms and condition
