This proposal is to introduce a more improved
occupational health service for the council by enhancing the
service by using a telephone case management service. The service
is designed to reduce absence levels and provides a self-funded
health benefit for employees. All employees will have access to a
fully 24/7 occupational health service which includes a service for
managers support and guidance in managing sick absence.
By providing early/faster support to managers is likely to reduce days recorded.
