KD 4795 - Enfield Rural Catchment Project

It is proposed to investigate opportunities to reduce flood risk in the Salmons Brook catchment and improve the natural environment for people and wildlife in rural areas of Enfield by implementing Natural Flood Management measures in Council owned parks and leasehold farms. These measures include creating small ponds and wetlands to reduce flow rates in rivers, and planting trees to create new woodland areas. A decision is required to proceed with the feasibility phase of the project and seek additional funding contributions from the Environment Agency and other partners.
